Thai Stocks: KCE Electronics, Sri Trang Agro, Thai Reinsurance

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 4:30 p.m. close in Bangkok. The SET Index fell 1.9 percent to 952.75, the largest drop since Oct. 3.

Rubber producers: Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA) , Thailand’s biggest publicly traded rubber producer, slid 7.1 percent to 18.2 baht, the largest loss since Oct. 3. Thai Rubber Latex Corp. (Thailand) Pcl decreased 3.7 percent to 3.12 baht.

Rubber for March delivery declined as much as 3.4 percent to 310.5 yen a kilogram ($4,041 a metric ton) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, the most since Sept. 29.

KCE Electronics Pcl (KCE) , a maker of electronic parts, dropped 2.6 percent to 3.78 baht. Floods have damaged stock inventory and machinery at its plant in Ayutthaya province, KCE said in a statement to the stock exchange.

Thai Reinsurance Pcl (THRE TB), a reinsurer, fell 8.4 percent to 5.45 baht, its lowest close since February 2010. Estimated losses linked to Thailand’s floods will increase, the company said today in a regulatory filing.
