Packers Stay Undefeated, Giants Defeat Bills on Late Field Goal by Tynes
Aaron Rodgers had three second- quarter touchdown passes and the Green Bay Packers remained undefeated with a 24-3 victory at home against the winless St. Louis Rams.
Ahmad Bradshaw had three 1-yard scoring runs and Lawrence Tynes kicked a tie-breaking 23-yard field goal with 1:35 remaining in the game to give the New York Giants (4-2) a 27-24 victory against the visiting Buffalo Bills (4-2).
Rodgers was 17-of-28 for 310 yards for Green Bay, including a 93-yard scoring pass to Jordy Nelson, as the defending Super Bowl champions improved to 6-0. Sam Bradford went 28-of-44 for 321 yards for the Rams, who fell to 0-5.
In other early National Football League games today, the Atlanta Falcons (3-3) scored 17 unanswered fourth-quarter points to defeat the visiting Carolina Panthers 31-17. Cam Newton threw for 237 yards and had a 14-yard touchdown run for Carolina (1-5) and was intercepted three times.
Andy Dalton threw for 264 yards to lead the host Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) to a 27-17 victory against the winless Indianapolis Colts. The Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) won 17-13 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5).
