Russian Oil Firms Challenge Jump in Flaring Fees, Vedomosti Says

Russian oil companies are preparing to appeal collectively against a 22-fold increase in fees for the burning of associated petroleum gas, Vedomosti reported, citing two unidentified employees of the companies.

A letter from the oil companies will request that the Ministry of Natural Resources increase the fees gradually over the next two years, the newspaper said.
