Ireland to Update on Offshore Atlantic Licenses on Oct. 17

Ireland’s Energy Minister Pat Rabbitte will provide an update on the country’s offshore Atlantic oil and gas licensing round on Oct. 17, according to the energy ministry in an e-mailed statement today.

The ministry received 15 separate applications of interest in licenses to explore the country’s Atlantic shelf by May 31, according to a statement by the ministry in the same month. Rabbitte is scheduled to speak at an event in Dublin on Oct. 17 on exploration opportunities.
