Defendants in $900 Million Madoff Trustee Suit Seek New Judge

Accountant Michael Bienes, sued with Frank Avellino and others for $900 million by the liquidator of Bernard Madoff’s firm, said he will join Avellino in asking a district judge to take the case out of bankruptcy court, according to a filing today. Avellino & Bienes, a Florida investment firm, funneled money to the con man, trustee Irving Picard alleged in his suit.
