ADB to Provide $97 Million Loan to Pakistan Hydropower Project

The Asian Development Bank will provide a $97 million loan for the 147-megawatt Patrind hydropower project in Pakistan, it said in a website statement.
The run-of-the-river Patrind hydropower plant, between the Kunhar and Jhelum rivers near Muzaffarabad, is being developed by Star Hydro Power Ltd., a joint venture between Korea Water Resources Corp., Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co. and Sambu Construction Co.
