Perry, Romney Call For Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment

Texas Governor Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney both called for a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution as a solution to rising federal debt.

Perry said Americans “always hear the siren song” from politicians who promise to cut spending, yet never do it.

Perry and Romney spoke at a debate sponsored by Bloomberg LP and The Washington Post in Hanover, New Hampshire.
