Brent oil futures will be added to the Dow Jones-UBS Commodity Index for 2012 as weightings for the benchmark financial product are revised.
Brent traded in London will make up about 5.31 percent, or one-third of the crude portion, of the index’s components starting in January, the Dow Jones-UBS Index Supervisory Committee said in a statement yesterday. West Texas oil in New York will form about 9.69 percent, down from 14.71 percent, the notice said.
