UMC Makes NT$192 Million Gain on Sale of Taipei Property

United Microelectronics Corp. (2303), the world’s second-largest contract maker of chips, sold property in Taipei City for NT$585.8 million, realizing a profit of NT$192 million, the Hsinchu, Taiwan-based company said in an exchange filing today.
