U.S. Auto Battery Shipments Fell in August: Summary

Replacement automobile battery shipments fell in August, according to the Battery Council International.

Shipments of replacement vehicle batteries fell to 8.87 million units, while original-equipment battery shipments rose to 1.386 million units from the same period last year.
