SPAIN DAYBOOK: Treasury Sells Bonds; Industrial Output Data

Spain’s Treasury aims to sell as much as 4.5 billion euros of debt maturing in 2014 and 2015, while the National Statistics Institute publishes industrial production data.

WHAT TO WATCH: *Treasury sells debt, with results due around 10.35 a.m. in Madrid. *People’s Party conference starts in Malaga at 4:30 p.m. and continues through Oct. 8.

ECONOMY: *National Statistics Institute publishes data on August industrial production at 9 a.m. CET.

EQUITIES: *Banks accounting for 20 percent of the 4.9 billion-euro ($6.5 billion) loan used by Sacyr Vallehermoso SA (SYV) to buy 20 percent of Repsol YPF SA (REP) won’t agree to a rollover, Expansion reported, citing unidentified people close to the matter.

MARKETS: *The IBEX 35 Index rose 3.1 percent to 8,477. *The spread between Spanish and German 10-year borrowing costs narrowed to 325 basis points.
