Ming Vase Fetches Record HK$169 Million at Sotheby’s Art Sale

A blue and white imperial vase from the Ming Dynasty was sold for HK$168.66 million at a Sotheby’s auction today in Hong Kong, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
The price, which compares with a pre-sale estimate of HK$80 million to HK$120 million, was the highest paid for Ming Dynasty porcelain, Sotheby’s said.
