Daniel Shechtman Wins 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

Daniel Shechtman of Israel won the 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said in a statement today in Stockholm.

The laureate wins the 10-million Swedish kronor ($1.46 million) prize, the Academy said.
