Semirara Plans to Develop Coal Bed Methane Project With Endesa

Semirara Mining Corp. (SCC), the largest Philippine coal producer, is in talks with Spain’s Endesa Carbono S.L. to develop the coal bed methane potential at a coal mine as a source of natural gas for power generation.

Semirara plans to pursue the project at its mine in the province of Antique, Vice Chairman Isidro Consunji told reporters yesterday.
