NBA, Players “Still Very Far Apart” After Seven Hours of Talks, Union Says

National Basketball Association and players union negotiators are “still very far apart” in seeking to end its work stoppage, union lawyer Jeffrey Kessler said after more than seven hours of talks today at a Manhattan hotel.

The two sides will meet again next week, Kessler said. The NBA locked out its players on July 1.
