Torrent Pharma Gets FDA Tentative Approval for Memantine Pill

Indian drugmaker Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (TRP) received tentative approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its memantine hydrochloride pill, the generic version of Forest Laboratories Inc. (FRX)’s Namenda medicine to treat Alzheimer’s disease, according to a statement on the regulator’s website.
