Mosaic CFO Says Cargill Trust ‘Unwilling’ to Sell Shares Now

Mosaic Co. (MOS) said a Cargill family trust is “unwilling” to sell its shares in the fertilizer maker at current prices.

While Mosaic is “ready, willing and able” to buy the 21.3 million shares, the Margaret A. Cargill trust believes the price is too low, Chief Financial Officer Larry Stranghoener said on an investor conference call today.

The trust owns the shares as part of Cargill’s spinoff of Mosaic.
