Seehofer Says EU Fund Moves Put German Rating at Risk, SZ Says

Germany’s Christian Social Union Chairman Horst Seehofer said the expansion of Europe’s rescue fund is putting Germany’s credit rating at risk, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported, citing an interview.

Seehofer told the newspaper that “overstretching” the fund’s powers may put Germany at risk of a credit-rating downgrade and threatens economic growth.
