Evonik CEO Expects German Chemical Industry Growth, DPA Says

Evonik Industries AG Chief Executive Officer Klaus Engel expects the German chemical industry to grow in 2011 even with an imminent economic slowdown, Deutsche Presseagentur reported, citing a statement.

He expects production to grow by 5 percent and sales by 10 percent, Engel said, according to the newswire. Engel is also president of the VCI, a business association with 1,600 member companies from the German chemical industry.
