Shimadzu to Set Up African Subsidiary Next Month, President Says

Shimadzu Corp. (7701), a Japanese maker of measuring instruments, will set up a subsidiary in Africa next month and targets sales of $8.6 million in the year ending March 2013. President Akira Nakamoto made the announcement today at a news conference in Kyoto, where the company is based.
