China Currently Not Considering a Carbon Tax, NDRC’s Xie Says

China isn’t considering implementing a carbon tax at the moment, Xie Zhenhua, vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a conference in Beijing today. Establishing a carbon trading market is the priority, Xie said.
