Istanbul’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index (XU100) fell 61.19, or 0.1 percent, to 60,827.89 yesterday.
Alarko Holding AS (ALARK) : The builder and energy company’s unit Alsim Alarko Sanayi Tesisleri & Ticaret AS signed a $476.7 million contract for work abroad and will begin the first phase, Alarko said in a statement to the exchange, without giving further details on the project. The shares were unchanged at 3.15 liras.
Arcelik AS (ARCLK) : Turkish white goods sales are up 21 percent in the first eight months of 2011 and may reach more than 6 million units, Haberturk reported, citing figures from the white goods association. Shares of Turkey’s largest household appliance maker rose 4 kurus, or 0.6 percent, to 7.18 liras.
Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi & Ticaret AS (VESBE TI): Shares of the household goods maker owned by Zorlu Holding AS rose 1 kurus, or 0.5 percent, to 2.20 liras.
Koc Holding AS (KCHOL) : Turkey’s largest industrial group will invest $200 million in its retail chain Koctas to double the number of stores over the next five years, according to a report in Sabah newspaper. The shares fell 2 kurus, or 0.3 percent, to 7.28 liras.
