Portugal Attorney General to Investigate Madeira Debt, Lusa Says

The Portuguese Attorney General’s Office will investigate debts that weren’t reported earlier by the island region of Madeira, news agency Lusa reported, citing Attorney General Fernando Pinto Monteiro.
The decision was taken following a meeting yesterday with an official at Portugal’s Accounting Tribunal, according to Lusa.
No-one was immediately available to comment at the office of the Presidency of the Regional Government of Madeira.
