Angola’s sole oil refinery increased production 9.3 percent in the first half of this year, Jornal de Angola reported, citing Almeida Nicolau, planning director at Refinaria de Luanda.
The refinery, owned by state-owned oil producer Sonangol EP, is processing 41,000 barrels a day, up from about 37,500 barrels a year earlier, the Luanda-based newspaper said.
Angolan fuel consumption is currently equivalent to about 90,000 barrels a day, Jornal de Angola said.
