Qatar National Bank Group, Salam: Persian Gulf Equity Preview

Dubai’s DFM General Index (DFMGI) retreated for the first time in a week, losing 0.6 percent. Abu Dhabi’s ADX General Index (ADSMI) slipped 0.3 percent and Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index (SASEIDX) lost 0.4 percent.
Qatar National Bank Group (QNBK QD): The company said it is re-opening its representative office in Libya, six months following its closure because of unrest in the North African nation. The shares gained 0.1 percent to 142.1 riyals.
Qatar National Cement Co. (QNCD) : The producer of materials for the construction industry will be excluded from the country’s benchmark QE Index. Qatar National will be replaced with Salam International Investment Co. (SIIS) , a construction services provider, as of Oct. 2. Qatar National shares rose 0.2 percent to 109.9 riyals and Salam shares were unchanged at 11.87 riyals.
