Peru Stocks: Alturas Minerals, Candente, Maple, Milpo, Relapasa

The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. New York time.

The Lima General Index fell 1.2 percent to 20,321.09. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1 percent to 2,633.77.

Copper and zinc miners fell after U.S. stocks dropped and metals slumped in New York and London, said Daniel Romero, an analyst at Lima-based investment fund NC&F Inversiones SA.

Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, fell 7.1 percent to 13 cents. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian exploration company, dropped 4 percent to $1.21. Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based zinc and silver mining company, slid 3.9 percent to 99 centimos. Cia. Minera Milpo (MILPOC1 PE), a zinc and lead producer controlled by Sao Paulo-based Votorantim Metais Ltda., fell 3.5 percent to 5.30 soles.

Fuel refiners dropped after crude futures in New York declined.

Refineria la Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), a unit of Spain’s Repsol YPF SA known as Relapasa, fell 3.5 percent to 82 centimos. Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, slid 2.6 percent to $1.11.
