Tombini Says Brazil Slowdown Helping to Contain Inflation

Brazil’s slowing economic growth and a cooling “at the margin” of its hot labor market are helping to contain inflation, central bank president Alexandre Tombini said today at an event in Sao Paulo.

Brazilian inflation will slow to the 4.5 percent mid-point of its target range by December 2012, Tombini said.
