Russian Lenders Borrow Most Since December 2009 at Repo Auction

Russian lenders borrowed 149.8 billion rubles through repurchase agreements with the central bank at today’s auction, the most since receiving 150.7 billion rubles on Dec. 28, 2009, according to Bank Rossii.

The central bank placed the funds at an average rate of 5.34 percent after offering 150 billion rubles and receving bids for 169.5 billion rubles of loans, Bank Rossii said on its website today.
