Indo Straits Gets Coal Transshipment Contract From Arutmin

PT Indo Straits, an Indonesian marine-civil contracting company, obtained a contract from PT Arutmin Indonesia to transship 2.4 million tons of coal from a mine in Satui, South Kalimantan province over a six-month period, Dwi Suseno, Indo Straits chief financial officer, said.

The contract can be extended by another six months, Suseno said by telephone today, confirming a report yesterday by Investor Daily Indonesia. Suseno declined to say the contract’s value. Under the transshipment contract, Indo Strait’s floating crane will load coal from a barge to a mother vessel, he said.
