Turkish Airlines, Tupras, Yapi Kredi: Turkey Stocks Preview

The following stocks may be active in the Turkish market. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.

Istanbul’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index (XU100) fell 528.73, or 0.9 percent, to 56,121.89 yesterday.

Tupras Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (TUPRS) : Turkey’s sole refiner had its target price raised to 49.70 liras from 47 liras at Morgan Stanley. The shares fell 30 kurus, or 0.9 percent, to 33.80 liras.

Turk Hava Yollari (THYAO) AO: The national airline known as Turkish Airlines said passengers over the first eight months of 2011 increased 10 percent and it filled 71.6 percent of its seats. The shares fell 7 kurus, or 2.5 percent, to 2.75 liras.

Yapi & Kredi Bankasi AS (YKBNK TI): UniCredit SpA is studying the sale of its Turkish unit Yapi Kredi and Poland’s Bank Pekao for around $9.6 billion, Italy’s Finanza & Mercati reported without saying where it got the information. The stock fell 6 kurus, or 1.6 percent, to 3.64 liras.
