Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. (JI), the world’s second-biggest maker of irrigation products, plans to announce a venture with Coca-Cola India on Sept. 14, according to an e-mailed invite to a press conference.
The company’s shares jumped as much as 7.4 percent to 182.9 rupees, set for the steepest gain since June 28, and traded at 182 rupees at 2:25 p.m. in Mumbai. The stock was the second- biggest gainer on the BSE Mid-Cap Index today.
The company didn’t give any details about the conference.
Jain Irrigation also sells dehydrated onions, and supplies mango pulp to Coca-Cola units in eight nations.
