Vidrala, Jazztel and Banco Santander: Iberian Equity Preview

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Spanish trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.

Spain’s IBEX 35 Index (IBEX) fell 4.4 percent to 7,910.20. Portugal’s PSI-20 Index (PSI20) dropped 2.5 percent to 6,048.70.

Banco Santander SA (SAN) : Companies including Spain’s biggest lender, Santander, may be active after Group of Seven finance chiefs vowed to support banks and buoy slowing economic growth during weekend talks in Marseille, France. Santander plunged 5.6 percent to 5.523 euros.

Jazztel Plc (JAZ) : The phone company maintains its target of reaching more than 1.2 million customers by the end of 2012, Chief Executive Officer Jose Miguel Garcia told El Mundo in an interview. The shares fell 4.8 percent to 3.36 euros.

Vidrala SA (VID) : The bottle maker expects to be able to pass on increased costs to customers in January 2012, Chairman Carlos Delclaux told Expansion newspaper in an interview. Vidrala stock retreated 1.2 percent to 19.25 euros.
