Spain’s National Statistics Institute will publish industrial production data for July.

*The statistics institute will publish unadjusted and workday-adjusted industrial production data for July.

*Funcas, the research arm of Spain’s savings bank association, cut its forecast for 2011 growth to 0.7 percent from 0.9 percent and said the Spanish economy may “practically stagnate” in the second half of this year.


*The IBEX 35 Index (IBEX) jumped 2.8 percent to 8,156.60.

*The spread between Spanish and German 10-year borrowing costs narrowed to 309.75 basis points from 334.06 basis points.
