Meridian Energy, ANZ Close Financing for Macarthur Wind Farm

Meridian Energy Ltd. said it has closed a financing arrangement for the debt portion of its investment in the Macarthur wind farm in Victoria, Australia.

A syndicate arranged by Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. provided construction and term facilities of A$386 million to Wellington-based Meridian, the bank said in an e- mailed statement. Meridian has a 50 percent stake in the 420 megawatt project alongside AGL Energy Ltd. (AGK)
