About 70 labor unions, civic and social groups will begin strikes and protests on Sept. 29 against Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s plans to overhaul the economy, MTI reported.
The groups are demanding a fairer distribution of the tax burden, an end to retroactive laws, consultations on legislation including a new labor law and the protection of the right to strike and other union rights, the state news service said, citing Peter Konya, head of the Law Enforcement Employees’ Interest Association.
