Israeli Stocks: Elbit, Israel Chemicals and Ness Technologies

Israel’s TA-25 Index dropped for a fourth day, declining 0.4 percent to 1,058.23 at 1:04 p.m. in Tel Aviv.

The following stocks rose or fell today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT) advanced for the first time in six days, climbing as much as 1.5 percent before trading up 0.5 percent at 136.70 shekels. A U.S. unit of Israel’s largest non- government defense contractor won a contract to supply Boeing Co. with helmet displays.

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL) dropped for a third day, slumping 1.3 percent to 45.40 shekels. Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz may establish a panel to consider an “excess-profit tax” on Dead Sea Works Ltd. following a recommendation from a Justice Ministry official this week.

Ness Technologies Ltd. (NSTC IT) gained for the third in four days, rising 1.4 percent to 27.78 shekels. The computer- services provider signed a multi-million dollar contract with the Czech Republic’s Raiffeisenbank.
