Wigan Defeats Leeds 28-18 in Final of Rugby League Challenge Cup

The Wigan Warriors defeated the Leeds Rhinos 28-18 in the final of the rugby league Challenge Cup.

Jeff Lima touched down twice as Wigan outscored Leeds five tries to four at Wembley Stadium in London. Josh Charnley, Joel Tomkins and Thomas Leuluai also had tries as the Warriors won the knockout competition for a record-extending 18th time.

Ryan Hall touched down twice for Leeds, which lost last year’s final to Warrington. Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Carl Ablett also scored tries for the Rhinos.
