Malaysia’s FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index (FBMKLCI) fell 0.3 percent to 1,464.74.
Bumi Armada Bhd. (BAB) : The Malaysian oil and gas services company said net income fell 18 percent from a year earlier to 60.3 million ringgit ($20 million), according to a company statement. The shares fell 2.8 percent to 3.80 ringgit.
Bina Goodyear Bhd. (BGB) : The builder and developer said its net loss in the fourth quarter ended June 30 widened to 15.7 million ringgit from 2.5 million ringgit a year earlier after sales dropped, according to a company statement. Bina slid 7.5 percent to 80 sen.
Formis Resources Bhd. (FMRB) : The software company’s profit in the first quarter ended June 30 rose 23 percent from a year earlier to 8 million ringgit, it said in a stock exchange filing. Formis was unchanged at 75.5 sen.
Genting Bhd. (GENT) : The casino, power and plantation group said second-quarter profit fell 9 percent to 673.2 million ringgit, dragged down by lower takings at its Singapore gaming resort. The stock rose 2.7 percent to 9.78 ringgit.
MWE Holdings Bhd. (MWE) : The yarn and fabric manufacturer’s second-quarter net income climbed 2.1 percent from a year earlier to 12.2 million ringgit, the company said in a statement. MWE slid 0.8 percent to 1.19 ringgit.
Sarawak Plantation Bhd. (SPLB) : The oil palm grower said second-quarter profit more than doubled from a year earlier to 22.6 million ringgit, according to a stock exchange filing. The stock added 1.4 percent to 2.24 ringgit.
WTK Holdings Bhd. (WTKH) : The timber producer said second-quarter profit tripled from a year earlier to 21.3 million ringgit, it said in a company statement. WTK climbed 2.3 percent to 1.34 ringgit.
YTL Corp. (YTL) : The construction, property and utilities group said fourth-quarter net income almost tripled to 304 million ringgit from 102.4 million ringgit a year earlier, according to an exchange filing. YTL dropped 0.8 percent to 1.33 ringgit.
