Taiwanese Stocks: Fubon Financial, HannsTouch Solution, Wintek

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 9:53 a.m. in Taipei.

The Taiex Index gained 74.19 points, or 1 percent, to 7,417.15, set for the biggest jump since Aug. 15.

Fubon Financial Holding Co. (2881 TT) advanced 2.1 percent to NT$41.60. The financial service company plans to issue as much as NT$6 billion ($207 million) of unsecured bonds with maturity of up to seven years to replenish working capital and strengthen capital structure, it said in a statement to the Taiwan stock exchange.

HannsTouch Solution Inc. (3049 TT) rose 2.4 percent to NT$15.15. The company signed NT$6 billion of five-year syndicated loans with nine banks including Mega International Commercial Bank Co., the Taiwan-based company said in a statement to the stock exchange.

Wintek Corp. (2384) (2384 TT) fell 6.2 percent to NT$26.65, headed for the lowest close since July 30, 2010. The touch panel maker was cut to “underweight” from “overweight” by Jamie Yeh, an analyst at Barclays Capital.
