Advtech, Kairos Industrial Holdings May Move: South African Equity Preview

The following stocks may rise or fall in South Africa. Symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.

The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index stock index rose 89.83, or 0.3 percent, to 29,378.69 in Johannesburg.

Advtech Ltd. (ADH) : The education and training provider reports earnings for the six months ended June 30. The shares were unchanged at 5.60 rand.

Kairos Industrial Holdings Ltd. (KIR) : The investment holding company, with interests in mining supplies and engineering, said its Brokrew Industrial Ltd. unit had been placed in liquidation. The shares dropped 1 cent, or 33 percent, to 2 cents.

The following shares begin trading without the right to their latest dividend:

Absa Group Ltd. (ASA) ; Capital Property Fund (CPL) .
