Aker Drilling Jumps in Oslo on NK26.50/Share Transocean Offer

Aker Drilling ASA jumped 96 percent in Oslo trading after Transocean Ltd. (RIG), the world’s largest offshore driller, offered to buy Aker Drilling for 26.50 kroner a share to expand its fleet of ultra-deepwater and harsh environment rigs.

Aker Drilling shares closed at 13.35 kroner on Aug. 12.
