The following companies’ shares may have unusual moves in European trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index rose 3.2 percent to 230.57. The Stoxx 50 Index gained 3.2 percent to 2,185.95. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index, a benchmark measure for nations using the euro, increased 2.9 percent to 2,215.45.
Air Berlin Plc (AB1) (AB1 GY): The airline reported a net loss of 43.9 million euros in the second quarter after social unrest in North Africa damped bookings, less than the net loss of 56.9 million euros in the second quarter of last year. The shares rose 3.8 percent to 2.68 euros.
Derichebourg (DBG FP): The airport services and waste- management company said nine-month sales rose 23 percent to 2.82 billion euros. The shares rose 8.8 percent to 3.53 euros.
Fugro NV (FUR) : The world’s biggest surveyor of deepwater oil fields may say first-half earnings before interest and tax rose to 160.2 million euros ($227.9 million), according to the average estimate of five analysts in a Bloomberg survey, from 139 million euros a year earlier. Fugro gained 0.5 percent to 41.30 euros.
Recticel SA (REC) : The Belgian maker of foam and car- interior trim said it will close a foam-converting plant in North Shields, England, before the end of this year, eliminating 52 jobs. The shares retreated 0.4 percent to 5.68 euros.
Rubis (RUI) : The operator of oil and gas storage sites said it entered exclusive talks for a 50 percent stake in a Turkish oil depot. The shares rose 2.9 percent to 35.46 euros.
