The AEX-Index (AEX) in Amsterdam advanced 2 percent to 282.79. Belgium’s Bel20 Index rose 2.6 percent to 2,144.98. Luxembourg’s LuxX Index increased 1 percent to 1,127.92.
Fugro NV (FUR) : The world’s biggest surveyor of deepwater oil fields may say first-half earnings before interest and tax rose to 160.2 million euros ($227.9 million), according to the average estimate of five analysts in a Bloomberg survey, from 139 million euros a year earlier. Fugro gained 0.5 percent to 41.30 euros.
Telegraaf Media Groep NV (TELEG) : The Dutch newspaper publisher reports second-quarter earnings before the start of trading. The shares declined 0.2 percent to 10.20 euros.
Connect Group NV (CONN BB): The Belgian contract maker of electronics for clients including Barco NV reported second- quarter profit of 12 cents a share compared with a loss a year earlier. Connect Group (CONN) fell 2.8 percent to 1.77 euros.
Recticel SA (REC) : The Belgian maker of foam and car- interior trim said it will close a foam-converting plant in North Shields, England, before the end of this year, eliminating 52 jobs. The shares retreated 0.4 percent to 5.68 euros.
