France’s CAC 40 Index fell 2.3 percent to 3,588.05. The broader SBF 120 Index dropped 2.1 percent to 2,731.04.
AuFeminin.com SA (FEM) : The operator of Internet sites targeted at women acquired Netmums.com to expand in the U.K. The shares rose 2.9 percent to 17.49 euros.
BioAlliance Pharma SA (BIO) : The oncology drug company said it has started making clinical batches of Livatag for a phase 3 trial in primary liver cancer. The shares fell 3 percent to 4.85 euros.
European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co. (EAD FP): The Czech government said it may cancel a $200 million contract for EADS military transport aircraft unless problems with their missile protection system are rapidly resolved, Associated Press reported. The shares dropped 1 percent to 23.96 euros.
Gameloft SA (GFT) (e): Europe’s biggest maker of games for mobile phones said second-quarter revenue rose 11 percent to 37.4 million euros driven by sales in emerging countries. The shares fell 1.5 percent to 4.75 euros.
