Ivory Coast Cocoa-Beans Exports From Abidjan Port Soar in June

Exports of cocoa beans from Ivory Coast’s port of Abidjan soared in June, according to statistics from the harbor.

Shipments rose to 114,672 metric tons in June from 5,650 tons in the same period a year earlier, the data showed. Exports of cocoa products increased 32 percent to 25,435 tons.

Ivory Coast, the world’s biggest cocoa producer, harvests its main crop from October through March while a mid, or light, crop is collected from April through September.
