Baltimore Ravens Plan to Release McGahee, Mason and Heap, ESPN Reports

The Baltimore Ravens will cut running back Willis McGahee, wide receiver Derrick Mason and tight end Todd Heap this week, ESPN reported.

With the National Football League lockout over, teams will be able to release players on July 28.

McGahee, 29, rushed for 300 yards in 15 games for the Ravens last season while sharing time with starting running back Ray Rice. Mason, 37, had 61 receptions for 802 yards and seven touchdowns for Baltimore last season, while Heap, 31, had 40 catches for 599 yards and five scores.
