The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBMKLCI) Index fell 2.59, or 0.2 percent, to 1,577.25, the lowest close since June 29. The gauge dropped 1.1 percent this week, the first decline in five weeks.
Plantation stocks: Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd. (KLK) dropped 1.1 percent to 21.66 ringgit, the lowest close since May 25. Boustead Holdings Bhd. (BOUS) slid 0.9 percent to 5.85 ringgit. Palm-oil futures dropped as much as 0.9 percent on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange, the first decline in three days.
Daya Materials Bhd. (DAYA) , an oil and gas services provider, gained 5 percent to 21 sen, the most since April 20, after winning a 120 million-ringgit ($40 million) building contract.
