OAO Polymetal, the Russian silver producer, advanced the most in almost five months after prices for the metal gained and as Fresnillo Plc, the world’s largest primary producer, said output rose to a record.
The shares increased 6.9 percent to 575 rubles at the 6:45 p.m. close in Moscow, the biggest jump since Feb. 21.
Silver prices rose for a second day, climbing 2.2 percent to $38.785 an ounce. Fresnillo shares jumped in London trading after it said second-quarter output rose 7.2 percent.
