Metinvest to Spend $3.5 Billion on Ilyich Upgrade, Interfax Says

Metinvest Group plans to invest $3.5 billion to upgrade PJSC Ilyich Iron & Steel Works, Interfax reported, citing the plant’s General Director Vladimir Boyko.

Ilyich I&SW, based in Mariupol, Ukraine, will produce 16 million metric tons of sintered iron ore a year, 7 million to 7.2 million tons of cast iron and 8.5 million to 9 million tons of steel after the upgrade, he said, according to Interfax.
