Lisicki Beats Bartoli in Wimbledon Quarterfinal Match Following Rain Delay

Sabine Lisicki of Germany beat Marion Bartoli of France 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1 in the Wimbledon women’s quarterfinals.

The start of the match was delayed about 40 minutes as the roof over Centre Court was closed because of rain in London. Maria Sharapova of Russia plays Slovakia’s Dominika Cibulkova in the next Centre Court match.

Play has yet to start on Court 1 where Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic meets Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria and Tamira Paszek of Austria faces Victoria Azarenka of Belarus.
